We spent the evening with Indie Füde

We joined local Chef Will Brown and local deli Indie Füde for four nights of fine local dining and it was fantastic!

Tucked away in the small town of Comber you will find Indie Füde, a sensational space that showcases all the amazing produce Ireland has to offer.

Run by the creative due, Johnny and Laura, Indie Füde is more than just a shop. It is a representation of Irish heritage and the good that comes out of supporting local. With fresh produce available daily, a cheese room and a range of events taking place throughout the year, this is a must on the 'To Visit List.' Check out some of their delicious offerings here.

We jumped at the chance to join these guys alongside renowned chef Will Brown for a four night Local Supper Club. The idea behind the supper club was simple, to experience local produce over the course of four nights in a communal dining setting.

The collaboration was extremely fitting as we too use local produce from the fields of County Down in our gin recipe. Supporting local is at the core of what we do but sometimes it isn't until you step into places like Indie Füde that you realise just how important it is and how much impact it can have on local business and people.

WE LET THE FOOD AND DRINK DO THE TALKING

Each night guests were welcomed into the store front with a Copeland Cocktail - recipe here. There was certainly an Autumnal ambience to the evening from the pumpkins that met you at the front door to the smell of whiskey cream and rice pudding travelling in from the kitchen. After a short chit chat with the guests we let Chef Will take to the floor with his impressive food pairings. And to tease your local tastebuds even more, we thought we'd show you exactly what we had on the evening.
